Guide to Milan & Lake Como with Range Rover
Each year I travel to Milan in April for the world’s biggest design fair, Salone Del Mobile. The city comes alive, historical villas open with incredible installations, restaurants buzz and everywhere you turn there is a design touch point which is why Milan is crowned Italy’s design capital.
When I first visited Italy, Rome, Florence, and Venice were the cities everyone told me to see. But Milan never seemed to be on the list. Big mistake. Big. Huge!
Milan is Italy’s design, media, fashion and financial centre and there is boundless beauty, hypermodernity contrasted with the wonderfully old, quaint neighbourhoods, masterpieces like Da Vinci’s Last Supper and some of the best food in the country.
You may have to dig a little deeper behind the cobblestone streets, but when you know where to go, Milan unveils itself and doesn’t let go.

Travel less than an hour drive from the city, and you’ll be in another one of my favourite places in the world, Lago di Como. I was lucky enough hit the highway in the new Range Rover sport which tackled the autostrada A9 as easily as the narrow streets of Como. The landscape beauty knows no bounds and your dream to play a lead role in a classic Italian movie becomes reality every single day.
